Petersburg celebrates the 130th anniversary of the birth of Anna Akhmatova

This weekend St. Petersburg recalls Anna Andreevna Akhmatova - 130 years have passed since the poet’s birthday.
You can meet Anna Akhmatova in the Mikhailovsky Palace - there are portraits of the poet at the exhibition. These are picturesque, graphic and sculptural works from the collection of the Russian Museum.
Authors of works by Akhmatova’s contemporaries are Nathan Altman, sisters Natalya and Elena Danko, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and other artists. Their portraits reflect in detail the appearance of Anna Akhmatova at different stages of her life.
