Considering the skyrocketed prices for hotelrooms in Russia, this hotel is a good alternative. Although at least a 30 minutes walk away from the Nevski Prospekt, the metro is closeby. Rooms are large, which is a relief after so many modern design hotels with a lot of fuzz but no space. Breakfast is good for Russian standards. The staff is friendly, and at the reception they speak English, and are quite willing to do so! There's a German-style restaurant nearby for a good German beer, and a Coffee House for a good coffee. Definitely a good deal this hotel!
