It's an older hotel not very close to the city center (it should be 15 minutes by bus, but it took us always 45-50 minutes due to traffic jam, 30 minutes by underground as it is not so perfect as in Moscow).
Good hotel, nice service3, all speak English. Clean and no noise from the street. The hotel are not far from the historic center, but far enough for cheaper rates. Around the corner are a large shopping district
Stayed again at this hotel just on the edge of the city center, again it was as expected and did not fail to meet my expectations. Staff friendly and most people there spoke English very well or well enough.
Considering the skyrocketed prices for hotelrooms in Russia, this hotel is a good alternative. Although at least a 30 minutes walk away from the Nevski Prospekt, the metro is closeby. Rooms are large, which is a relief after so many modern design hotels with a lot of fuzz but no space.
The room was quite spacious. The furniture was not new, but everything was very clean. The bathroom is nice and clean. The breakfast was very good. It is near the metro station. It is just around the corner. You get what you pay for :) DO NOT use the ATM that says no comission
